Suspicious circumstances

The following information is regarding  2 suspicious incidents on the 13/09/2025 in the Lydbrook area. 

At 8.42pm police were called to the Stowfield area as persons were seen with torches attempting to enter buildings in the industrial units on Stowfield Road. A search was carried out by police on the site but no persons were found.

Also police have been made aware of an attempted burglary in the Central Lydbrook area where 3 males have been seen on CCTV to be acting suspiciously in the area between 8.30pm and 8.45pm. Later on during the evening at approximately 11.53pm a person is seen to enter the garden of the property and are seen to try the door handles of both external doors, the person is believed to be wearing a face covering, they have then left after not gained entry to the property. Enquiries are currently ongoing in relation to this incident.

Police are unsure as to whether both incidents are linked at this stage.

On both occasions no persons have gained access to any properties, we would ask members of the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to the police.
